PUBLIC POLICY UPDATE. Your Public Policy committee has been hard at work attending hearings in Montpelier, testifying before our legislature, and meeting with elected officials and state government leadership. Major topics include finalizing (we hope) independent contractor legislation that is more friendly to independent contractors and businesses that utilize them, and encouraging state procurement practices to consider positive business practices as an evaluation factor for bids. Thanks to Public Policy Committee chair Pat Heffernan of Marketing Partners Inc for testifying on behalf of WBON.
